Underdogs was MGB's second full length record, released in October of 1997 by
Darktown Records. It was undoubtedly the band's breakthrough album. This
platinum release featured four hit singles: "Everything is Automatic", "Indestructible",
"Apparitions", and "Rico". Apparitions, particularly, gained the
most attention, winning numerous awards, including the Much Music Video Award
for best video in 1998.
"Near Fantastica is the lost track from Underdogs," says Matt. "I wrote this
song in England when we were mixing the record. About a week before we were
finished Warne asked me if I wanted to record it. Due to the fact that we were
pressed for time I decided against it." |
